Workshop on Financial Literacy and Awareness of Fraudulent Cases



On March 15, 2024, at 2:30 PM, Jan Seva, in partnership with ICICI Foundation, hosted a workshop titled "Financial Literacy and Awareness of Fraudulent Cases." Participants included Jan Seva staff (teachers, helpers, office bearers, coordinators), parents of children in creches C5 and C6, and adult students from various programs. The workshop covered topics such as MADHAAR, the importance of using Google Pay over Phone Pay or Paytm, types of cybercrime and their helpline numbers, verifying website authenticity, secure sharing of OTPs, biometric locking, pros and cons of net banking, and government schemes for safe savings like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Public Provident Fund, Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana. Installation and usage of MADHAAR were also taught.


A total of 111 participants attended, all eager to learn about fraudulent cases and how to safeguard against them.
