HDFC Bank Team Visits Jan Seva: A Heartwarming Gesture of Support

On 1st April 2025, a team of 40 members from the HDFC Bank Stephen House Branch visited Jan Seva to explore and witness the impactful programs we run for underprivileged children. This visit was arranged through the kind referral of our Honorable Chairperson, Mrs. Jyothi Bhatia.

A Meaningful Initiative by HDFC Bank

Mr. Joydip Ghosh, the Cluster Head of HDFC Bank, and Mr. John Brown, the Branch Manager of HDFC Bank Stephen House, took the initiative to bring their entire team to Jan Seva. The team was eager to learn about our various programs and initiatives, particularly those focused on children, including both the specially-abled and the children of our Early Childhood Care and Education Centre (ECCEC).

A Warm Welcome and Insightful Interaction

Our Chairperson, Mrs. Jyothi Bhatia, Vice Chairperson Mrs. Shirin Dastur, and Board Member Mrs. Sarita Dhir, along with our dedicated Project Coordinators, Mrs. Twisha Ganguli and Mrs. Anindita Sengupta, were present to greet the team. They gave the visitors a tour of the facilities, showcasing the wide array of activities taking place for the children.

The HDFC team was particularly interested in how we manage the day-to-day activities with the children. They observed the children’s disciplined behavior during meal times and were impressed by how organized and content the children were in their environment.

In addition to their visit, the HDFC team generously raised funds among themselves and donated a large quantity of essential staples to Jan Seva. Their contributions, which included groceries, milk, and pulses, will go a long way in ensuring the nourishment and well-being of the children in our care.

The team was also curious about the process of how children are selected for admission to Jan Seva, as well as the income groups we cater to. Their genuine interest and support demonstrated a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of the children.

Bright Smiles from the Children

To make the visit even more special, the HDFC team also donated snack boxes for the children, which brought bright smiles to their faces. The children were delighted with the thoughtful gesture, and the atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude.

Their visit was not just an opportunity for them to learn about Jan Seva’s initiatives but also a heartwarming demonstration of corporate social responsibility in action.
