Educational Trip to Jail Museum

An Educational Trip to Jail Museum conveyed valuable historic knowledge to the sponsored children. This was the first excursion for the children after the pandemic.

The museum was a former 116 year old prison, which was turned into an Independence Museum in 2022 in the name of martyrs who were imprisoned and executed there. It helped our children and us to revisit the pre-independence period and also how political prisoners were kept under British rule. Among them were some renowned freedom fighters like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, B.C Roy were jailed here.

The children also showed interest in learning about the lives of famous freedom fighters who were inmates here and in the prison itself during the pre-independence period.
