Diwali Celebrations at Udaan

Diwali or Deepavali is one of the most significant festivals in India. It is a celebration that includes special lamps, and candles coloured sand or rangoli, fireworks, good food, exchange of gifts, etc. Hindus interpret the Diwali story based upon where they live. But there’s one common theme no matter where people celebrate: ‘the victory of light over darkness’.

Udaan too celebrated Diwali in its own unique way. Children made colourful drawings of diyas with pastels and glitters, made diyas out of play-doh and enjoyed a variety of fireworks under the guidance and supervision of the teachers, care-givers and co-ordinator. To sum it all, everyone had a great Diwali.
