Celebrating World Disability Day with UMEED Students
World Disability Day was a special occasion for the children at the UMEED evening class at SICW. To mark the day, the children worked closely with their teachers to create colorful posters, spreading awareness and celebrating the importance of inclusivity. These vibrant posters highlighted the achievements and potential of people with disabilities, encouraging a more accepting and understanding society.
The celebration continued with an exciting stage performance at Jan Seva Creche, where students from the UMEED class, along with children from the ECCE and Udaan programs, came together to showcase their talents. The performance aimed to create an inclusive environment, fostering a sense of unity and respect among all children, regardless of their abilities.
This event not only celebrated the children's remarkable achievements but also helped raise public awareness about the importance of understanding, accepting, and supporting people with disabilities. It was a heartwarming reminder of the power of inclusion and the impact of celebrating diversity in all its forms.
