Celebrating Global Hand Washing Day
On 15th October, the CHP team celebrated Global hand washing day with the Children of Early Childhood Care and Education and demonstrated the method of washing hands thoroughly. Global Hand washing Day is an international hand washing promotion campaign to motivate and mobilize people around the world to improve their hand washing habits.Washing hands at critical points during the day and washing with soap and clean running water are both important.
The method was shown both practically and through diagrams in flip charts. The children were then asked to wash their hands with soap and water with the CHP team and ECCE teachers supervising them.
The team discussed about washing hands before and after eating meals, after using the toilet, after coming back home. They also discussed about the benefits of washing hands as its “Our hands, Our Future”
