Jan Seva English Course Students Educational Visit to Birla Mandir

Like every month, the English Adult Literacy students visited Birla Mandir in Kolkata for their educational trip in this month.

These girls are mostly school dropouts who never got any chance to participate in a field exposure. For them it was a thrilling experience with which a part of educational studies were also involved. Six ongoing course students participated in this trip.

As part of the visit they learned that the temple is constructed of sandstone and white marbles. The girls were very excited to visit the temple as most the girls are Hindu. The carvings on the temple walls are gorgeous with wonderful marble and stone work integrated. The electric diya and beautiful chandeliers add to its charm.
